Blog Tour: Review. Uncovering You- Part One: The Contract by: Scarlett Edwards

Uncovering You
Part One: The Contract
By: Scarlett Edwards

Releasing March 27th, 2014

Blurb

When I wake up in a dark, unfamiliar room, I have no idea what's waiting for me in the shadows. My imagination conjures up demons of the worst kind.
Reality is much worse:
A collar with no leash. A prison with no walls. And a life stripped of meaning.
I am presented with a vile contract and asked to sign. It outlines the terms of my servitude. The only information I have about my captor are the two small letters inked at the bottom:
J.S.
Armed with only my memories, I must do everything I can to avoid becoming ensnared in his twisted mind games. But in the end, it all comes down to one choice:
Resist and die.
Or submit, and sign my life away

Review:

This is not a love story, not even a BDSM story, really it's just the beginning of what seems to be a BDSM story, but I wouldn't know that, at least until it's published. Trough it seems short, the story presents Lily Ryder's life on how she became J.S's lover, from a kidnapped woman and before that a student searching for a job in his company...

My emotions when it comes to this story are a mixed, but that is an understatement of the year...
Really, in the prologue we find out more about her relationship with J.S than it's revelead in the rest of this story's part. I'm so not happy with J.S character, if all of Lily's assumption are true, but let's find more about her, shall we?

She's a student of Yale that she enrolled in an internship that requires to participate for an ad campaign , because she was the leader and her project was a real succes, she's been offered a year- long contract to stay with the firm through to it's launch and this way she was going to receive one hundred twenty thousand dollars for her job. Obviously, she's deliriously happy because, know she can pay the debt to her college and continue to see come to life her project. All seems wonderful, but what's the catch?

She must stay one year with the firm, and therefore quite her school in this time. You'll say: okay, she can come back after the project it's over and be a happy student without debts. Well... that was the plan until the firm has retired from the project and refuse to continue with the payment.

Now, she's jobless, she can't come back to Yale, until January and she can't go home because her relationship with her mom it's horrible. That's the moment when Jeremy Stonehart sweeps in like a knight from bedtime's stories and offers her a job in his company, a company that I might add it's the same one who was implicated in the project mentioned...

But Lily is reticent and she infuriates Jeremy Stonehart in the night when he was going to make his offer- whatever that was, because we don't find out...

And after this moment, she's kidnapped and presented a contract for one hundred eighty thousand dollars to pay her debt for the college. The catch?

To become J.S's slave...

Final Verdict- You may observe that I didn't say anything about the characters in this book and that's because we don't find out anything substantial about J.S or his history, all we really know is Lily's past- fragments of it and about her mom's issue, and her time as a captive until she accept this contract because now she seeks vengeance, but nothing else, so I will just that this book is a mystery even for myself and I can't wait to find out more about the reclusive Jeremy Stonehart ...

My Rating: 4/5
